Alec Baldwin kicked off an American Airlines flight for 'playing Words With Friends'
Activate.com founder Michael J. Wolf tweeted, "On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin removed from the plane We had to go back to the gate. Terrible that everyone had to wait."
Business coach Grant Cardone corroborated this story. When asked what happened, Cardone, perhaps half-joking, tweeted, "Didn't have his Capitol One Card and Abusive to attendant is what I was told by AA authority."
Baldwin, a prolific Twitter user, has offered his side of the story in a series of tweets: "Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt." He later tweeted the hashtag "#theresalwaysunited."
"Now on the 3 o'clock American flight. The flight attendants already look.....smarter," Baldwin tweeted.
American Airlines would not comment on the situation to the Huffington Post: "We do not divulge the names of passengers on our flights or comment on them."
